Fergus and Elora real estate has become one of the most sought after real estate in southern Ontario. The spectacular Elora Gorge is at the western edge of the village adjacent to the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. At the Eastern end of the Village is the Elora Quarry Conservation area, a scenic former limestone quarry which is now a popular swimming area.
Elora is also a noted tourist attraction with a famous waterfall called the Tooth of Time, overlooked by the Elora Mill, numerous shops and art galleries. The Elora Mill is Ontario's only remaining five story mill and has been renovated as a prestigious Inn and Restaurant.
Those with artistic inclinations can dabble in the Arts at the Elora Centre for the Arts or at the Wellington County Museum and Archives or the Elora Festival, a renowned musical event. Other activities include garden tours, an early fall studio tour and a sparkling Santa Claus night time parade.
Outdoor enthusiasts can bike, hike, swim or tube down the Grand River, try horseback riding, a horse drawn buggy ride, hot air balloon rides, surrounded by some of the most incredible scenery in southern Ontario. The Grand River around Fergus and Elora offers world class fly fishing for brown trout with visitors from many far flung destinations enjoying this popular sport.
